To little power?

If I run two l7 kicker 12" at 1ohm load to a 1600 watt hifonics amp ... 800 watts to 750 rms subs will it not perform will or shut down my amp from lack or power?

Your amp wouldn't shut itself off because not enough power because it doesn't know what your sub wants. Your sub doesn't know what it needs either. The amp just sends out an amount of power that you choose and that power goes to your subs.

I thought this coukd be a problem because someone told me if you run to a big a sub on a small amp the sub will draw to much power and clip the amp/shut down...

that will only happen if the person installing said amp improperly sets gains and such
