The car is a 1973 Ford Maverick, and I have had this car since i was 13. I have done tons of work and had lots of fun with it, but it has been sitting in the back yard at my parents house for almost a year. The decision is either it will be towed to Clemson, to sit in my garage for resto, or sold for $ to go toward the Passport! help/suggestions welcome:D

"traffic traffic lookin for my chapstick look there goes a ford maverick" Malibus most wanted keep the car and make it look great again, doesn't look to be in that bad of shape.

i say tow it to the garage and keep it. i had a friend in high school that had one, the driver side door was all dented up so he went to the junkyard to get a new one. when he got there all they had was one that had a big number 54 on the side... so we called it car 54, just like the old television show. it was a great car though, we had alot of fun in it!

Put it away in your garage and put a car cover over it. I guarantee if you sell it your gonna kick yourself in the *** later. If it's in the garage, it's not botheren anyone. I made the same mistake, I'm still wishen I woulduv garaged my GTO and Camaro. It's gonna be worth money down the road, not to mention somethen cool to work on with your kids someday.

I would definately keep that shit and restore it. Even though it has been sitting around, it wants you to restore it and you to take in on the road. It loves you since you had it since you were 13. It doesnt want you to leave it.`

Keep it for a resto if it is a family gig. Its a maverick, if your looking for a resto/keep car I'd look for something besides a maverick. All classic cars will become collectible at some point, some alot more than others though.

Maverick's are nice and light though, would make a great drag car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I actually bought it for a first car $250 cash, and later on put $1400 into the motor....the car runs sub 9 in the 1/8

If it was me then, I'd either keep it for a fun car or sell it. I wouldn't worry about the resto part, sounds like its quick enough to be a fun occasional driver.
