How much do you think its worth? Car value

So i know a guy that has a 98 z28 that has a blown motor and ******. Otherwise the car is in great condition. What would you say its worth? KBB value on a working car in good condition is around 5500.

Ive thrown him an offer that im pretty sure i can get it for which is **** good to me, but just want to make sure.

Well the engine i want would be way more then the car, but the engine that was in it is probably fairly cheap if i got one out of a junkyard.

if you can get it under $1,000 i would jump all over it. even if you put a 350 in it, you would still only be looking at another maybe $1000.
