To component or not to component

I have a 2011 Mustang GT and just put some Focal Access 570 CA1 5x7s in the rear and was talking to my audio guy about doing the front the same but he said that he might look at putting some comps up front.

any ideas on some 5x7 comps that would work or should i stick with regular 5x7 speakers??

if i go component i'm looking at a pair of JL Audio C5-570 5x7 components

if i stay with regular speakers i'll just get another pair of the Focal Access 570 CA1 5x7s

IDK about 5x7 components, but I can tell you that comps are better than regular speakers.

comps have the potential to be better, if you dont do them right then they can easily sound worse.

i personally prefer comps though.

If you run active. If not then they are no different than a nice coaxial with a crossover network built in which is pretty standard today. Even my first generation Fosgate P1694C's had them built in.
