tips for not blowing new subs

lol. Reason for my comment is that I dont think he knows what a DMM is. I could be wrong though.

Whats wrong with craftsman DMM. Hes just checking voltage.
If you're only setting a mono amp with a DMM, a Craftsman will be fine. However, if you want to use any test tone over 400 Hz, most of them will not be accurate measuring the AC voltage you'll be getting. AC has a frequency. If you use a 1000 Hz test tone, most Craftsman DMMs will not accurately measure it. There are a lot of DMMs that only go up to 400 Hz AC. Check the technical specs in the owner's manuals for the DMMs before you make a purchase if you don't own one already.

 
lol i clipped the **** outta my 3250 to a hw for 5months then i guess the coil started to come apart and made an annoying rattling sound but it still played fine. but yeh usually if u smell coils or like hot or burning metal smell turn it down for a little.
