Tinting windows...help me out

OK I want to learn how to tint windows so they way to learn is to go and try. I do expect for me to screw up my first few times but whatever I want to learn. Anyways could you guys please give me some advice and tips, please? My dad said I could practice on his trailor so I plan to try it out either tomorrow or Sunday. I plan to buy the tinting kits that they sell at walmart.

well any tint sold at walmart may or may not be good...try a pepboys or body shop.

Just want you to remember that I don't care if the tint sucks. I just want to buy some tint that I can practice with. Im not going to tint a car yet. So will it still be ok to get tinting film from walmart if its just to practice on a trailor?

get cheap tint, if u can do a flawless looking job on that, your ready.

go from perfectly flat glass to one with a single plane curve, then onto one with a compound curve. once u can lay a compound curve flawless its just time to work on speed.

the guy i take any of my vehicles to get tinted has been in it for over 18 years, he did my whole grand am sedan (seven windows), every window except the windshield, in under an hour. no flecks, no specks, no bubbles, no bullshit. thats when you know your good. he used a combination of different sized hard plastic "shims" id guess u call it, to get the tint on the window smooth along with a handheld blow torch and a heat gun. boy is bad...
