Well im in the process of selling my first system after only 2 weeks of use because im hungry for more BASS and better sound!!! My next install will consist of 2 sundown audio 1500d's, and 1 sundown 100.4 for the fronts. jbl Gto coxials and components in the doors. kinetik hc1400 under the hood and hc2400 in the back with either a 275 or 300 amp alt. sound proofing the whole car also. Im going for a sql setup that will still get loud *** hell while sounding good. Any comments or suggetions?

Here where i have trouble deciding on the subs:

2 Tc sounds 3000 15's ( 1st choice as of right now)

2 jl audio 13w7's

2orion hcca 15's

2 fi q's or bl's

What's your budget? What vehicle?

Those all seem nice to me. I can speak for the w7 as being a very good SQ sub, and tuned in the right box, I'm sure you can get what you want out of it.

Mine is set for a very flat response all over, but at one point I had it tuned to 33hz and it still sounded very good.

12 cubes?...what dimensions?

FWIW, anything will sound loud even when tuned for SQ in an explorer. I know that's a pretty blanket statement, but really, for the most part there's some truth in it. I had that luxury once. *dreams of the hatch days*

Got you, but sometimes dimensions matter. You could get 12 cubes with a maximum of 11" depth. It's kind of trivial to ask with such a large amount of space, but I'm sure it might come up.

Anyway, my experience is only with the w7s. If you can get a good deal then I'd go with those. Excellent SQ, and can get loud if you so wish. But don't pay retail (like I did) because the other subs you listed can be had for much cheaper.

I'd suggest using WinISD to model each setup in different enclosures and draw conclusions from that.

My $.02.

uhh i personally don't like the w7s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hide.gif.2d479cfd917eedfe201353b91522ceab.gif
No reason to hide. Alot here don't. I do. It all depends on what you're trying to achieve. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

NOW....let's not turn this into ANOTHER JL love/hate thread. Let's try to keep this to personal experience. I think it would be too hard for someone to subjectively recommend or bash something they've never heard before. For the sake of my sanity, please, noooooo!!!!

*if you want to do that, use the search button*

well I think your first choice would be best all things considered. 2 15's will definately get louder than 2 13w7's, and honestly i've heard both the w7 and the tc 2000 15, and the w7 sounded good, but not nearly worth the money, and kinda lacked personality. If the 3000 is any indication of the 3000, then 3000 hands down, b/c IMO it get louder lower, and sound better
