time correction needed?

I am currently running 2 paris of ts-c160r pioneer components (in all 4 doors). if i was to install a pair of polk db6500 components as mid bass speakers in kick panel enclosures (so just the woofer, not the tweeter), would i need time correction?

alternatively, if i kept the pioneers in the back doors (as they are), replaced the front doors with the superior polk components, and took the old pioneers and used them as the floor/mid bass speakers, would this make any diff.

also, keep in mind that i am deaf as shit in my left ear from over 400+ concerts, and playing/teaching the drums for 15 years.

Being deaf in one ear, imaging is out the window anyway. Honestly the best use for time correction would be to equalize the arrival times of the front and rear speakers. I wouldn't bother trying to add a midbass, but would rather use the best components up front and prepare the mounting location to get the most midbass out of the component mid. Much simpler and no need to worry about another channel of amplification and trying to tweak another crossover point for what would probably be no gain and a lot of frustration.

time correction not only corrects imaging, but it allows some notes to be louder because everything is working together in unison. time delay is the single coolest function i think is out there in car audio electronics.

so basically, i think im going to get the best set of components i can get my hands on, and use that to give the front stage the best sound it can get (my amp sends roughly 200W RMS to each channel at 4 ohms so if i spend a lot, i will get a lot for the $).

please comment on this guys because silence can mean more than just approval.

i am really psyched to get my pioneer deq 9200 equalizer in, and then im really psyched to take the 100's of hours it will take for a relative newbie to figure it out.
