I guess i'll contribute. My system really can't be heard outside my car (I guess the car is sealed well) but my exhaust does set off car alarms. My friend on the other hand has a '92 explorer with 2 12in w3s and a 500/1 amp. He got a warning from a cop but never a ticket. Every one at school knew he was coming and he even set off a few car alarms. He still has this set up.

I was leaving my school's football one night and I saw one of the traffic directing cops put his radio up and talk in it.. The cop further up the road stopped me and told me to turn that crap off. Said he didn't want to hear it in "HIS" town again.. I went down the road about 200 yards and turned it up full blast..

Only ever got one, and that was with a system that would do legal 153s on the old hydrophone termlab meters....

....did 153s @ 38hz with a mere 1.2kW!

That SOB would set off ANY car alarm, ANY place, on ANY level of any parking garage...

There are times I miss that system...even though my current system is a good 6dB louder...

well i have beef with this noise pollution shit because tickets in GA is no joke. The start out at $120 then go up $30 after the first infraction and i am at my 4 one. SO you do the math. I am not gonna really tell my stories here cus i do not feel like typing that much. But the beef that I have is that when they write the ticket. It just says noise, then in parathenesis it says "music". SO what about these loud *** exhuast that ppl have. I mean i have never seen a harely pulled over. ANd they scare the shit out of me when they ride by at 55 mph.

That isnt that bad really. Here it starts at $50 and doubles everytime you get one so imagine where you would be at around here.

Hahah no. It's not annoying (or even that it's just deep so that's why it sets them off. It's more like that warning chirp then full on alarm going off. I don't drive a honda (nothing wrong with that!).

Hey nothing wrong with loud mufflers. I mean is really the same thing with cranking your music up. Is all noise pollution.

Anyway I have set off Borders store alarm. Was funny as hell as I parked in the parking lot to go to pick up our chineese food and next thing I know I come out and there are like 4 cop cars in fornt of the store. Was funny needless to say to watch all them run around looking for crimminals. At that time though was doing 156 off 4 of the mtx 9500's and 2 1501d's. In my lifetime, I've gotten five noise pollution tickets each one costing about $85 I think. VA sucks!

Well I am 28 now and know when to and when not to turn it up. But in my town wich is really small I am alot of the reason why they set the noise polution at 25 feet. Cops just loved me back then. But I have changed my ways now.

I show up in court and win because azzhole cop doesnt go to court that day nor did he have proof I was speeding LOL,he said I was doing 82 in a 55 which was a total lie,I was doing about 94

I tried to explain to the officer that my head unit wasn't even hooked up. He didn't want to hear this at all. Wrote the ticket up, and told me to act my age. This really set me off, I was ready when we went to court. Had the inoperable head unit, and several signed and dated service statements proving it hasn't and still didn't work.
