Thunder 81000D 1 ohm????

hi i am very curious on weather or not my mtx Thunder 81000D amp can handle a 1 ohm load or not...i know mtx makes some great amps and am looking to power 2 kicker L7 with it wired to 1 ohm...has anyone with the same amp used it at 1 ohm? curious if it overheated or anything.

Ive heard of people using that amp at 1ohm but Im not sure how long the amps lasted running that.

I have 2 of these amps if you keep the voltage up it should be ok.

upgraded battery, upgraded alt, upgraded wiring, etc, etc...

my buddy runs his un-modded version @ 1ohm daily w/o problems (so far)

i tested that amp @ 1 ohm on one of my L7's before...it unraveled the voice coil as soon as it turned on :-\, how...i don't know.

wow that doesnt sound good what it did to the L7. maybe u had it wired wrong or soemthing? i defenitly cant afford to be breaking any thing.
