Thumbs up or Down to 6x9's

not many people have components in their rear fill, usually just in the front but its mere preference... if your looking for a pair of 6x9's I have a pair of eclipse 8495's that I no longer need anymore. Used for a little over 2 weeks barely at all.

It kind of depends what type of music you listen to and what your looking for..

i have a pair of rockford fosgate 6x9s that i am very happy with. previously i had decided not to get subs and went for the 6x9s, which actually gave some bass. hah well i thought what i was hearing was bass untill i got my subs in. the 6x9s still add beautiful highs and mids to the music, and if you dont have subs, appropriate bass.

i dont even use the stock components in the front because they degrade the system as a whole. my opinion is that if your just looking for great quality focus on a nice pair of full-range 6x9s. hope this helps in your decision.

Why not just throw a pair of 6.5's in the back and only run them off the HU ? I have rear 5.25's in my jeep cherokee, and I cannot hear them from the front with them run off the headunit. They are only there for passengers.

well i have a 15" XXX running off a modded mtx 1501D @1ohm. So they drown out my stock speakers....just a little. All i listed to is rap, and it kinda bugs when i can hear the words. Why would someone prefer 6.5 components in the rear deck instead of a pair or 6by9's?
