mr monkey.,..They are.
yea i know.. thats the thing.. i would only have one car and would have to be my daily driver..The one you linked to looks and sounds solid as far as those rigs go, but there is not way that thing can be a daily driver. From the slight damage I can tell that it has been ridden hard and put away wet. If I were you, I'd go out and find a clean stock XJ and add the components myself. I don't know if you plan on making this a daily driver, or a hobby, but I do know one thing. If you start with a stock Jeep and do everything yourself, you spend way more than what that guy wants for his rig. Then again, his rig without those parts would be scrap metal that only a junkyard would buy. lol
i like how u put it into phases.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gifMay sound steep, but it is more likely to be way more reliable than that other one that has clearly been trail beaten. If this is your only vehicle, I would not go with that yellow one, and you go with tires 35" and up, make sure the rear diff is a D44at a minimum (if they even put those in XJ's).
Phase 1 -
6.5 long arm or drop brackets
yoke slip elim
33/35's depending on what axles are capable of
Phase 2 -
sliders
cb
Phase 3 -
rack
lightbar
Phase 4 -
lockers will come later..
That is the order I would do things in (and pretty much did). Phase one you'll have to do all at once. The rest is just goodies.
yes most deff fenders come off.. minor trimming not a problem.. sounds like a good project plan to doMine is a TJ with 35's. I get full flex out of the long arms so 33's would be a waste. I'm not sure about the XJ's, but if I had an XJ, I would cut the fenders off which of course make tire size a non-issue under full flex with your setup. Therefore I would put 35's on that bish. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
yea running d30 in the front also...No prob.
37's are a little extreme for his set up. I'm surprised that he has not snapped his axles in half yet.
