Threatcon-2 Downfire Possible?

I recently bought a C2 Audio Threatcon-2 12" (Awesome Sub). I'm thinking about building a down firing box, but I'm not sure if it's safe for the sub to be mounted like this. I've read some warnings about sagging. Has anyone else tried this yet?

I've built a lot of down firing boxes and I've never heard of a sagging problem. And up firing boxes too.

I don't know about that specific speaker but frankly, I can't imagine owning a driver that couldn't hold itself in place without being in one specific position.

Thanks for the reply. Many other people said the same thing. I've read a few posts on different sites speaking of certain subs set in up or down firing positions that begin to sag over time due to gravity. But it sounds like it takes a while for anything to happen, and they all seem to be referring to the same post at partsexpress.com. I guess I'll take my chances and go for it. Thanks again

Gravity is not the reason for sagging. The suspension being broke down to the point of it no longer being able to support itself causing the sagging.

That makes more sense. How long would it normally take for something like that to happen?
