Thoughts on this prefab?

I've given up trying to build my own enclosure for now as I'd spend more money on tools and my time is limited. The subs are sundown sa10s v3's going into a Toyota tundra single cab with a lot of space behind the seat. This box would have to be placed in a up fire position. The shared volume is 2.78 cuft, tuned to 34hz. Do you guys think this would work or sound like poo? I have no idea about port area ect. Thanks for any insight.

Specs are all fked up. Not enough port area or volume. Thats 2.78 Gross cubic feet, not NET. Net means after all displacements and thats what the subs have left to use which is the important number. Gross is as useless as peak power numbers.

Unless your port is very close to the roof, you will run into cancellation issues and lose major output having the box fire up like that. Side port firing will get you louder. Build your own box. Have home depot make the cuts, take it home glue and screw then cut sub hole. All you need is a screwgun and jigsaw. Jigsaw and screw gun can be had for 15 to 20 dollars each.

I like this idea the best. When you say screw gun I'm assuming you mean drill? I'm probably going to go this rought after I find a box plan. Any other tools that I'll need? Should I predrill the holes? Best screws to use? And will I need those clamps to hold the together? Would liquid nails work the best? Thanks for any info., I tend to over think things.

titebond 2 wood glue is best. Silicone caulk to seal any gaps, Pre-drill if you use MDF. If your home depot has 11 layer pine ply, you wont need to. You wont need clamps if you screw it on tight right away. If possible, use the 11 layed ply, stuff is light and very strong, easy to work with. MUCH lighter than mdf. Has to be 11 layered though, stay away from the 7 or 5 layered one.

this next excerpt is TLDR, just a rant lol. As long as you have either drill or impact screw driver, it doesnt matter, point is either will make your life easier than screwing by hand lol.

A drill is to drill stuff in and make holes, can be used as a screw driver with the right bit but its nothing compared to a screw gun. A screwgun is basically electric screw driver made for the sole purpose of driving in screws. If you have an impact screw gun, you can even make deep indentations inside the wood with the screw even after its fully screwed on. Using a drill to drive in a screw feels very different(weak) from a dedicated electric screw driver IMO.
