Thoughts on the Fox Body 'Stangs?

I'm just curious as to what yall think of them? I recently picked up an '82 fox that I'm thinkin about turning into a little bracket racer. I'm 19 and work part time at wal-mart so it won't be a really expensive all out car but it's already got a bored and stroked 302 and a holly 850 four barrel. I've also got the interior ripped out and ready to get some rhino lining sprayed on. Like I said it's not goin to be a really fast car or one that looks really good but it's a start ya know?

I'm not a fan of those, but I am a fan of being able to have a project car in the back yard. Should be fun, and yea it's a good start.

hell yea!!! mine don't look that nice, it's got faded paint and a few rust holes but **** I want it to look like that evventually. and **** I would love to drop a 460 in it although I'm not so sure it would be able to turn. it's already hard enough to turn the *****

Right, this is basically my take on Mustangs from those years till about '98. I don't know what happen to Ford, but they just started making poopy mustangs, tho the engines were beasts.

If your in it for the performance, you will have fun.

they are pretty sick.......but i kept up with one of those 5.0 in my sohc non vtec dx hatch wiith i/h/e and no a/c or p/s lol

the 5.0 was auto and it looked pretty beat it had flows though hahaha

I agree, Ford designers must have been on somethin to keep that body style for so long. Gotta say tho I love havin a moderately high horsepower motor in a car that weighs around 1500 lbs.

lol they weight more then 1500lbs, more like 1.5 tons or around 3000lbs

2800-3200lbs depending on year/body style (hatch or coupe)

I like them alot. if i could get my hands on a 87-93 gt 5.0 i would shit myself. i dont like your particular year its really ugly but god do those things have pull.
