Thoughts on sound stream Rubicon 2500d

I'm building a system for my girlfriends truck. Right now I have 2 soundqubed hs210's in a 1.8 cube per chamber, 38hz box (she listens to rock more than rap so the tuning will be ok for now), a shuriken sk-bt 35, 0 guage knu konceptz ofc wire and an elemental designs nine.1. I love the nine.1 but I know these speakers can handle way more than the amp will be throwing at them.

I have a chance at a sound stream Rubicon 2500 for 150 bucks locally. I have no experience with sou dstream stuff. I see lots of people saying they do rated at 14.4 but the price seems way too good to be true. Should I give it a try or stick with the elemental? The subs are wired to 1 ohm btw

Would the sound stream even do 2000? Even with goof electrical the elemental will probably only be pushing 14-500 at best. (I know in reality its far less due to box rise and trunk conditions, all that)

Even if it did 2k the difference from 1500-2000 is inaudible and the ED is much better quality.

Lol gotta love peoole whi have no clue what they r talking about..they DO do rated....plenty of bench test done on them no clipping.

Im runnin 2 strapped on 2 18 zv4s at .5ohm daily...gain at10% bass boost off, sub output on hu -3 and it absolutely kills those subs....i tested them seprate at 1ohm and got 2450ish on both, havnt benched them at .5 but theres a video of somone doin it and they were putting out a tad over 3k each. Havnt had any overheating or protectbissues at all....but one did get damaged during shipping so i have a short in either the rca inputs or the data cable....but yeah, snatch it up...no lie u will not be dissapointed..i can honestly,say it puts out waaaaay more than my ddm3's i just got,rid of. And this is the second pair of these ive ran and i put them through hell, never had any problems.

haters will hate man, first thing ull learn if u hang round here a bit is 99% of these people will do nothing butbtalk crap On anything cheap...i make 120k yr moneys not an issue and i CHOSE these cheap amps because 1, i love the look, 2 everyone who has ran them swear by them, and 3 to prove a point to naysayers....just like my 150 dollar 300amp alts....had 20 people tell me they r junkn wont lastnbwont do anywhere near rated yet im going on 3yrs and not had a single issue with them...they still do 145ish idle and on load at 2k they do between 290 and 305....so believe very little of,what these people say, if they hvnt personlly ran it they have no way of knowing.

So you say this mythical rubicon out does a M3?

They don't do rated. I got 1575 out of mine rising just barely over 1 ohm. I don't know specs off the top of my head but I believed they were rated at 1500 at 2 ohms..

Ya not even close.

The amp would get extremely hot, and go into protect as well.

I was also 3 db louder running at .5 with a dd m2a

yes without a doubt...i ran 2 ddm3 strapped at .5 and had the gain set at roughly 45% and they put out plenty but these rub on the EXACT same setup and electrical 100% blow the dd's outta the water! Yes they get hot, granted mine are in the bed of my truck in about 8 cubes of hot *** air but i have ran them full tilt for a looong time and never not once have i had a protect issue, same with the set of them i ran last year at .5, not once did they have a problem....hands down best budget amp ive ever used, and keep in mind these are set at 10% gain compared to my dds at 45% and still smash them!

Not saying they are the best amps ever by any means, i have abuddy who had 4 of them and one kept going into protect and eventually fried, he returned and the replacement did the same, but 3 years now and the other 3 and the 3rd replacement are still holding up to .5 daily.

I assume as with any amp especially cheaper ones there are going to be faulty ones, i had my first ns1 go out on me after 3 days and thats a BEAST of an amp....so it is what it is, if you doubt it then dont run it but also dont give advice to people if you dont know...and most every person ive talked to that has had an issue with this amp has crap electrical. You feed it right it WILL do rated, some do a little over, some a little less but close enough to be worth the 250 they cost new!

Only issue i really hate is the **** fan in one randomly grinds and i can hear it all the way through my truck from the rear of the bed, past the 25 cube box and airtight midgate opening, so its loud!

i tell you what op, buy it and if you dont like it ill snatch it off you any day of the week. Im about to pick up 2 more of them anyways...id prefer to run them at 1ohm just in case but plenty of people including myself and my buddy have ran them at .5 with zero issues so believe what you want...i have no reason to lie! lol

Your $150 300A alternators are definitely a lie. What brand? Also, provide me a bench test in which the Rubicon 2500 putout 2500ish at 1 ohm. Can't do it can you?

Also, the fact that you keep saying "...gain at blah%..." proves that you don't really know what you're talking about...

OP, listen to what has been said. The difference in power would be inaudible most likely, but the ED will have better sound quality.

here you go...read it all....most everyone who had an issue with em had crap electrical and it was overheating....like i said mines never shut off. just drove 3 hrs yesterday an ran em at about half volume the whole trip and not a problem one!!

Also if you read the people who complained posts you will see a pattern, almost every amp they have owned has issues overheating or frying, meaning they dont know what the hell they are doing.

Granted i have 8 runs of 0 hot and 12 ground....also have 3 300 amp alts and plenty of batts lol, also using dual 0 inputs to the amps themselves....so i did go overkill (preparing for uprading to 2 more) but my voltage never drops below round 13.8 and thats that.

There are plenty of people who have clamped these at .5 doing 3500 give or take....they are rated at 1700 at 2ohms and on proper elec and the sub in well built enclosure they will do **** close eve with rise!

oh and also have 4 fans on them that put out 190cfm each so with the fans, and my extreme elec that may be the reason mine dont overheat....so to be honest idk if id risk running them without crazy elec and fans.
