Thoughts on an 18" for daily?

I was looking at the Fi BL 18", but noticed that they are now charging for the extra features to make it "fully loaded." I'm looking for an 18" that I can put in the back of an Expedition. Space is not an issue. I was looking at the AQ HDC318, which seems nice, but how will it sound good? Or is this strictly an SPL driver? I know these like to be "tuned higher," but I want it to have some good extension into the high-mid 20hz range. Afterall, it is an 18''.

Am I looking in the right direction? Thanks !

Edit: Will be ran on an Aq2200D. (although I can downsize to something less if that's too much wattage)

i have used hdc3 18's and now a fi btl n2 18 much happier with the fi, gets stupid loud and low and can play clean too i love if money is no issue thats my 2cents, if it is the hdc3 is still a good sub just not the same level understandable for being half the price

I would definitely say that the Bl is worth the extra money.

okay no more further post required!!! my first serious system was a Fi BTL 18" in an explorer, buy it and dont look back spend the extra money for the Fi, **** gets wild... loved it daily it was loud enough to please the ear, and **** people off but not so loud that you couldnt roll around full tilt and not be able to stand it.. everyone told me i shoulda kept it but i decided to upgrade to 4 15s.. hell look into psi audio, with their "PLATFORMS" you can find a woofer to suit your preference, or they can build it to your preference for little to nothing... thats the way i currently went and am very happy, i couldnt imagine getting a higher quality built woofer for the price i paid, their 18's are ridiculously cheap.
