Take it to small claims, Chances are he won't even show up and that's an automatic judgment in your favor.

When he doesn't pay do like businesses do and start adding high interest. Eventually he will want to get his credit straightened out and you will profit fro your investment that was getting you 18% interest.

Not true. Small claims court fees are relatively inexpensive. A judge decides the outcome, so there is no attorney fees. If they find in ops favor, they will make the defendant eat the fees for the case and he will have to pay them back plus whatever op has down that is owed to him.
To op never do this again without having at least half the money. That way you will not be completely fu cked.

once you factor in a day of lost work (if you work M-F on days) kinda dumb to go to court to break even..

x 45 (or so) on selling on CL and cutting your losses

Maybe put some Funky Pups in it, say it hit 170deeebeeezzzzzzzzzzzzz and sell it for $750 on CL but come down to $200 cause you feel like being generous!

I have text messages from his number. As well as talking on the phone. And while he can claim anonymity, it's still his user name, and thus his responsibility. Just as if someone gets on your eBay account and buys something. The owner of said account is responsible.

He just texted me and told me another story, and asked me not to sell his box. He said the soonest he can come is Friday. So, I give him 'til Friday. Then I'm pursuing some sort of action.

I clearly said that I wasn't making a big deal about it. I was just trying to inquire about some different options of trying to get the deal to end. I'm not stressing or really worrying about it. Making a big deal about it would be two days after I built it making a thread bashing this guy. As is obvious, the readers of this thread don't even know who the person is... and probably won't.
