Those WORTHLESS PIECES OF SHIT!

audioholic: yea i know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif. im starting to think that i just got picked out during the day time or something when the sun was shining in on the back through the tint, because at night, you cant see in there. im assuming i just got picked and they waited till i went home. either way, i have started removing my stuff already until i can get the 2way alarm.

lbc99: just do a search on google with the name of the alarm and it will pull up a bunch of stores. there are some stores with lots and lots of good reviews and the alarm ranges from about 199-260 or so.

bmxbikes: was that directed towards me or flip?

not to get off topic..but do u have a HO alt? LOL if not how many batts do u have to run that kx2500
yes i have a mean green alt which really kicks *** lol. the rear bearing (slip ring side) has recently started to make noise but the alt works like a champ still. i just need to get around to pull the bearing and press on a new one.

no extra batts for the kx2500.1 and surprising, at 2 ohms, it does quite nicely on most music. only on the higher notes, does it really drop a good bit. so i have held off on the batteries for now, and now i guess i can kiss a nice battery good buy as i need to pick up the alarm and pay for the window

I dunno. I have no idea how much an alarm is or which one would even be right for me.
flip just do some reading on here. i did a bunch last night and it seems that the viper 5900sst is a **** good 2 way unit with a true 1 mile range (dependent on some factors like buildings etc). they also have the 5002 or something like that which is the same unit but with a 1/4mile range (i would gladly spend the little bit extra for the longer range though, as i dont see how it can hurt.

most trusted brands seem to be DEI products, and compustar if that helps any flip. im in the same boat, as buying an alarm that i actually have to choose rather that the stock one is all new to me

My truck got broke into a while back and they stole everything even the steering wheel was gone. the only thing that was left was a meth pipe that must have fallen out of their pocket. I turned it into the police to see if they could get fingerprints off it and they thought I was crazy for bringing a meth pipe with a bunch of residue on it to them.

After my shit got jacked I went with the 5900sst. So far I love it. Goes through batteries a little quicker then I would like, but I keep spares in the glove box. I installed one for my brother too and he loves it. I talked to a lot of alarm guys and they all said you can't go wrong with anything by DEI.

sucks to hear. you sir are quite lucky.

a little usggestion is to start investing in some security screws for mounting your sub and amps

http://www.tamperproof.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=products

i use these in my car on all my equipment. if they can't take my box cause it's bolted to the ground they can't take the equipment if they came with screw drivers. ignition/fuel cut offs in an alarm system is a plus if they tried to take the car.

it's not all bullet proof but even the littlest things will help.

thankfully for me i live on a military base and my car is parked next to my front door. i also work on a military base and my car is always parked in plain view.

Glad to hear they didn't get your shit mang! Sounds to me that they were some petty theives though because if they knew what they were doing, a lot of your shit would be gone, if not for the vechichle. Have had it happen to me, with a nice viper(None pager) and a back up crime stopper just in case. They still got in and stole the ride, cause I had so much in it and was in plain fawking daylight! They took it to a chop shop and then dumped it in a shitty neighborhood where some hoot rats took a beatin' to it!

To me Tint don't do a thing, nor do the non paging alarms. I say get a nice paging alarm and just be careful where you play it, which you say you do, just be careful. You never know who is watching you and or could just follow you where your going.

HOOKEDONTRONICS.com go there i have bought my 791 and my 50.5x(5900) from them. what kind of suv and what year do you have?
98 explorer sport. wow, 208.50 for the 5900sst. looks like a very likely choice for me.

fbi90909: for sure, i know better than that, but me being naive about the situation didnt help. kinda makes me wonder "wtf was i thinking?!". one question how do you actually go about buying them? i dont see any type of cart, or buying info. just has a "info request" and some shit.

bingbangtheory: ive heard your story before. cant imagine the sinking feeling i would of had if i had actually lost anything.

I am going to be getting the Viper 5900SST. Read more about it and seems bad ***. So how many people have had good dealing with hookedontronics ? And sorry to hear about that shit man. I had some mexicans back in California break into my SRT-4 and steal my Eclipse 8445, radar detector and xm radio but they cut the cable to the ESN on the Eclipse and bascially stole a paper weight.
