I had a Viper 791XV on my old car and it was great so I figured this time around I'd just go ahead and get the 5900SST for the bonus range. That way if something is happening to my car and I can't see/hear it, my little pager will tell me. I don't trust any of the people that work around my dorms (janitors, maintance, etc) because they all drive big white vans. Plus how do people break into 9 cars, busting windows and hawling stuff out of people's cars (such as my sub box which had 2 heavy @$$ 12" subs and a big Kicker KX850.2 on the back), and don't get noticed. I don't trust any of them and am now driving a totaly stock car to college. Guess I should have listened to my brother and parents when they told me to take all of it before I went. But you know as they say, hindsight is 20/20.

I bought a 5900 for 202 shipped =)

Getting it put in for 30$ + sirius adapter for eclipse...

Dont know what to say, although this is due to some ****ing theives already stealing my shit.

IMO 5% + 2 WAY + Good Neighborhood is the good, but the best thing is a ****ing garage.

Also. Bolt that shit down, nothing im sure pisses thieves off more then a 10 star screws on the sub box and 4 per amp =)

Also might I add, watch your car non stop for a couple days... sleep in it.. for fun! See what happens

How far is the range on the two way pagers? I have manual locks and windows. Are there alarms that work with them as well? I am not interested in converting to power locks.

Yes you can. Only difference is the alarm wouldn't lock/unlock the doors for you, obviously.
You know that converting to power locks is usually very easy and cheap right? Crap I think I had BestBuy do it for me once for like $75. Just a matter of adding a small actuator to the linkage.

What are some features I should look for?

I am not interested in remote start, opening doors, rolling down windows etc.

I am looking for something that goes off if someone tries to jack up the car, or busts out a window.

I had my shit jacked in front of my house about 3 years ago but it was just a pair of audiobahns so they probably did me a favor...lol...$300 for a side window really sucked though. I got a pager alarm after that and the bastards were testing my truck again because for like a week it would go off at about 3am until they finally gave up.
