LmaO!!! check the terminals and what kind of wire was used in the box, could be a wire that burnt and your sub may be fine 0_O Lets us know !

splaudio says they can get thermal and smoke without blowing, i re-tuned the amp this morning and pounded the balls off of em and ihavnt smelled or seen anything so it must have been clipping, i will admit, they hit pretty hard im the first guy to badmouth kicker but these are decent. my single mojo 15 was easlit 1/3 louder and better sq on the same amount of power but still theyre pretty deisel, especially for 200 bucks

well i posted these on cl last night for way too much and ive had 3 people ask so if they sell ill keep the amp and buy a much better sub(s) but it was the smell of coil not wire. like that unmistakeable smell and there was soooooo much smoke im like wtf

so against my better judgement i decided to pick up a kx1200.1 and 2 12" l5s for $150. not a bad price. so it sounds alright and it works fine. i turned the gain down on the amp and the bass boost all the way down. 10 minutes of playing them smoke is in my car and it smells like burnt voice coil and i look and one of the coils on the sub on the left is blown....cute right? thats kicker for ya, anyone have an extra l5? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
