this good for a lil bump?

its for the gf's car, i know directed makes good amps, but how good are their subs?i don't want super bass, just a lil bump that sounds good, and gets decently loud.....i planned on an re12, but missed the group buy cause i didn't get my tax refund back in time, what subs would this compare to?maybe a kicker comp?or somethin else in the same range?the amp will prolly be a profle, power acoustik, or cadence (good budget amps that do their power).....any help would be greatly appreciated.....tia

p.s. the box will prolly be 2 cuft^3 tuned in the low 30's (30-33), thanks again.
