trying to find a good pair of subs that will work with my Hifonics Bruits 1500. Aiming for a good amount of (bass) spl… sq. is not that crucial for me. Had a guy tell me about the alpine Type S but I want to get a second opinion on that.

oh and got a sealed 12 in box.....

budget is around $400 any suggestions?

1500 is 1500 Watts @ 1 ohm right? Get a pair of L7s probably some 15s and put them in a ported box. each 15 would probably be like 750 watts which is just around 1500 watts total. Put them in a ported box and they would hit loud. Tune it high too. like 35-44hz.

No on type S with that big of a budget, they're nice for the price ($79 a piece), but they won't fit that amp very well, and you can get much better with the money you've got.

What kind of space do you have though?
