This Car Has Some Serious Power

Well, the GE T58-3 is a real engine...used in 'Nam-era Huey helicopters, around 1200 SHP each.

Problem is, why is there a giant air dam on the front, but a stock spolier on the rear? I would think at 180+ mph, you'd need something more.

Also, where are the turbine inlets? On the trunk shot looking down, I can't see where the turbines are fed from.

I like the "Automatic transmission" one myself...like there's even a transmission in there, heh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You'd need to have one hell of a braking system...not just for slowing down from high speeds, but if you steered it around, you'd need to have one foot on the brakes almost all the time...those turbines probably produce enough thrust at idle to move the car.

Those are only helicopter turbine engines, though...if someone had the balls, they'd transplant a P&W J38 turbojet into their ride. J38's were the standard powerplant for fighter aircraft through most of the '60s and '70s...full afterburners //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i think it's legit. but it's main purpose is probably to set land speed records and to be run on the salt flats or other places with a long flat stretch of road. it's definitely not designed for street use.
