this amp for these subs??

1050? That's it I thought that amp at 2 ohm puts out 1450 Watts?? I don't wanna run just 1000 Watts into each of em.. looking for at least 1500

Why would you post a 2000 watt amp if you wanted to run 1500 to each subwoofer?

You need a 3000 watt rms amp. What did you think it was going to do 2000 watts rms over 2 channels? It's a mono amp. Mono meaning single channel. If you hook up 2 subs to it you're splitting the power. I see a lot of noobs lately trying to run a lot of power. Makes me wonder if they've even beefed up their electrical?

Truth is this is only my 3rd system the first 2 were just thrown together and I want to actually make a good one now. Not familiar with class d amps I thought that 2100 Watts rms means the amp will push 2100 Watts into both subs.. so I'm guessing at the ohm load I want to run them at the Watts it puts out at that ohm load will be half of that into each sub?? If in that case I would then need at least a 3000 Watt rms amp??? BTW thanks for the info already was almost ready to buy this amp right before I posted this thread.

^^^^this. So no Audiopipe or Power Acoustik? jk.... Listen to mylows OP. The guys knows what he's talking about. And I wasn't trying to be a wisea$$. Just takes a bit of know-how to run that kind of power. You're not just going to hook up a 3000 watt amp to stock electrical and be good. Big 3, upgraded alternator, and extra batteries is what I'm guessing you'd need.

yuuppp at least 1-2 good batteries in the back and a ho alt 200 amp or more.0 gauge all around and 2 runs of it

So before OP even gets started we're talking 6-700 bucks right off the bat? Give or take depending if he can do his own install? This is why I run 800 watts and I'm happy with it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Get's loud enough for me, sounds good, and I didn't have to spend a sh*tload upgrading everything. Besides, if you don't compete I can't really see a good reason to run that kind of power in a daily driver imo.

exactly ,2k watts of power is usually enough for the average person.if he was to go that route he can get away from spending so much cash for his system.the biggest thing is to not be cheap when it comes to his amp,you must remember that the better efficient amp the less strain on your electrical. the hifonics amp spoken of here is at best 75% efficient at 4 ohms which at 1 ohm will be somewhere around 50 - 60 % which is not that good.i've know guys that bought nice 2k amps ,did the big 3 and just added an extra battery in the back and never had any issues with lights dimming or anything for all that matters.but also depends on the car and the stock electrical too.

Yea I've done some researching. My buddy IA going to rebuild my stock 160 amp alt to a 200 doing a big 3 in the figure and I already have a kinetic battery in the trujknl //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
