Pioneer GMT 5400T

I'd only be putting it to a couple JLW0's(125 RMS each)

or would I be better off buying the

Kenwood KAC-7204

And how does Pyle rate as a brand? I found one of theirs for $99 and change but it doesn't show RMS ratings.

they all $uck,the pyle is a p.o.s...dont like kenwood amps...maybe the pioneer...theres a pioneer on ebay for 68.50 shipped...

Considering that you only need 250rms, the pioneer will do the job, as will the kenwood. At that low of a power point, both would be fine, but many people on here will steer you to something else as those brands dont have any nuthuggers on here

lol @ nuthuggers. Kenwood, I thought, used to be one of the 'upper class' amps? I don't do ebay, pickup1, any other cheap sources I'd appreciate.

Are there any other suggestions as to where to look at least? I know Rockford Fosgate used to be a **** decent amp... had a 150a2 to the subs before and lost it. It sounded as good as the subs would get, being cheapo ones.

I've got 2 of those pioneer amps I can sell you 1 for pretty cheap barely used. They seem to be an OK amp nothing special

You can get better for the same money new though

If you can find a Rockford Fosgate T3002, you can usually find them for around $100 and they are extremely underrated and very good inexpensive sub amp. It is an a/b amp so it will draw a bit of current, but I really like the sound of it.

ive got a Kenwood KAC-8401 60W x 4 Car Amp at Crutchfield.com id sell for 80 shipped. bridged it will put out rated 180x2 so the 125 your looking for will be easily reached.

I'd say probably avoid Pyle. I know you say you don't like eBay but Harmon/Infinity/JBL makes some nice small low priced amps that they sell from time to time on eBay as refurbs or open-box. Good stuff cheap there.

Otherwise, sonic and woofersetc are good.

Kenwood never made a good amp IMO. Their speakers have been fair, they're mostly good for their head units.

Rockford makes good stuff and low end stuff, I think the stuff that's really worth owning is overpriced.

did you look at the crutchfield brand. Price is good and they sound very clean. Look at the specs. I have one but I might trade it in for a JL only so I could enter a spl comp. here is the link to the small one for 130.00
