this aint true right?

ive had the owner of a audio shop and former spl competitor tell me that the massive audio dmx 15 shouldnt be wired to 1 ohm because 1 ohm will blow most subs

 
If properly designed the amplifier will still have inaudible levels of distortion when running @ 1ohm......so it's a moot point.
on this point I will totally agree with squeak, if your amp is designed to run at 1ohm or lower you don't have an issue, I would highly suggest keeping the cliping to a minimum.

 
I have run my HCCA's to 1/2 ohm mono and as long they weren't clipping they kicked *** and the subs were fine, I can say that once I was clipping the subs went south rather quickly.
