ok guys, thinking about buying an orion 225 hcca from another member here on the forums.

Do you guys think it can do 1.5 ohms stereo for the z6's? If it can, im pretty sure im going to buy it.

Is the wiring any different on this amp vs. newer amps?

this amp is perfect, you'll get around 350 x2 at 3 ohms stereo. Why are you asking about a amp that'll do 1.5ohms stereo? your comps are 3 ohms and you don't bridge comps. Get this amp or try your arc amp and see what happens.

Well, if you ran your 2-3 ohm speakers off a mono amp, yes it would be a 1.5 ohm load.

But the amps that are being recommended are 2 channel amps. So wire each 3 ohm speaker to each channel for a 3 ohm load on each channel of the amp for a final 3 ohm load on the amps terminal from the 3 ohm load of the speaker to the amps seperate terminal for a 3 ohm load on the amp. This will result in each of the amps two cgannels seeing a final 3 ohm load from each of the 3 ohm speaker.

oh ok, i feel dumb now. Thanks for clearing that up for me. So if the arc audio can handle it, they'll be seeing around ~250-300 or so each, right?

I think im going to try the arc out first, and if it won't handle it, then i'll just buy that boson acoustic posted above
