Just bought a 03' Civic EX (Black, 5sp) to replace my 92 LX. Need to transplant all my equipment into the new ride.
I tried to get the cd player out the other day and could'nt get all the panels off without scarring them up with a flathead screwdriver. Don't want to go any further, as I'm scared I'll end up breaking some of the interior panels. The ONLY local stereo shop (30 minute drive) that offers installs, quoted me $425 to install the equipment in my sig, minus the subs (too big, prob be getting a couple 12" mags). $65 for each set of components, $50 for the deck, $60 or so for each amp, and a $80 kit which includes all the wire and fuses for the install. I really want all my stuff in, but it's too **** cold outside to do it in this weather as I don't have a heated garage. Add to the fact I will probably end up breaking half my interior plastic trying to install. I really don't have the time (only a couple days off a week, usually mon/tues) to do the install either. Was thinking about just having them install the deck, front speakers, and both amps with all the wiring and fuses, and having them run power to a distro block in the back. I could then install the sub amp, subs, and rear speakers from there on my own, when I have more time. What do you guys think?
