Thinking about opening a shop. Need some input.

I used to work for a guy and helped him do some installs a few years back. I was approached by one of my buddies the other day and he has a two bay garage/shop that is not in use. He mentioned the idea of opening a car audio shop in there for the meantime. I never dealt with the business end so I was wondering: how is the insurance covered? Warranties? Labor Rates? Wholesalers? Etc.. any info would be appretiated.
