those are sweet but still too small. and lemans, apparntly beauty is in the eye of the beholder becasue the dogs you named are not good looking in my opinion. and i don't just want one for home protection either. mastiffs are wonderful family oriented dogs, it just so happens that they are extremely large and intimidating.

actually i had a black lab that was beaten to death, so yeah i do know something about dogs. i just guess we aren't on the same page. i thought u wanted an intimidating dog that defended your home, i guess not.

id get a rhodesian ridgeback, they are not scared of anything even elaphants they use them in africa to hunt lions with too lol smaller than a mastiff but piss it off and i gaurantee you would be alot more scared of it. they growl really stange the hair on their backs stands up like a razor back pig and they show off probably the nastiest set of canine teeth in the dog kingdom http://rrcus.org/ mastiffs are pretty dumb and can be nice to everyone my dads didnt know me when i first seen it he would growl all i did was hold my hand out and say "here boy" and he just started to wag his tail lol they also eat about 50 lbs a week in food lol (bull mastiff is what my dad has)
