Thinkin on doing a 3 18" setup SEALED. How would that sound?

Im already bored of the wall of Aq 15"s. Shlt just isnt musical enough or have the responce for the type of music I listen to ( rock / metal ). It gets **** loud for rap etc obviously, but Ive never tried a "real" sealed setup. But Id like to not lose alot of output

And Id like to try out some more on Mach5Audio's lineup (Ive got some IXL 15"s aswell) to support the local industry. And they are coming out with a new version of the MJ18M.

I know finding anyone with experience with this driver (since its brand new dont even know if there being sold yet) will be difficult. But any insight would be appreciated

Id like to keep my car walled, as I like it that way. but I also dont want to lose ALOT of output, I dont plan on ever getting meterred or anything, but some songs that have fast kick drums, and you feel that pulsing quick punchy bass, I still wanna feel that in my chest. Hard. But not sloppy and slow like the Aq's throw it out

Would 3 18"s sealed on 2500ish rms still produce that? Ive only ever had the SDC 2.5 15"s sealed, 2 of them in like 4 cubes, and it wasnt great, but they arent meant to be sealed. The reason I say 3 18"s is because:

1-its kinda different

2-they come in SVC 4ohm, 3 wired in paralel = 1.33ohm. Perfect for my visonik amp

3- 3 of them would only run me about $500

The only way I could fit 3, would be to line 2 up on the bottom, and stack one right in the center ontop of them?

I could always port the 3, but I only have 15 cubes or so to work with....

Just looking for some opinions.....

No topics about them, no info on the internet. Specs not listed on Mach5s website, so I dont know the T/s or anything. Just know there are similar to there older line, with some stiffer suspensions he mentionned

I also dont know what an 4th order is

I cant think of many..if any 18s that are meant to be sealed so i dunno how that would go. I had some shitty subs sealed and they hit the mid and high bass amazing..better than any sub ive owned to date and they cost like 150$ for 2 12s with a prebuilt sealed box. But zero lows lol.

what about 3 IXL 18's? they are dual 2 i believe, wire three of them at 1.33 ohms you can use the amp you've got should be around 3k watts. the IXL's supposedly do well sealed, are very musical while still getting loud and i've heard the IXL 18 in particular hit the lows like a monster in a sealed cabinet

If you can find some 18's that are meant for sealed (MJ's probably are) than go for it. I loved the musicality of my kicker solo-baric 15's and they still got loud as hell, they only needed 1.5c/ft sealed.

The 4th order or sealed rear chamber bandpass system is basically a sealed enclosure system with the addition of an acoustic filter in front of the driver.
