THink ill break 150 on termlab?

154 in a suburban non walled is not likely. And as much as I admire a VLX400, to call it some sort of SQ amp is not realistic. At the output you are looking for, SQ is out the window anyway. Your priorities and expectations are way off. But good luck.

this, so this. the OP is a retarded fag. go learn how to take a basket off a motor.

priorities and expectations? what priorities? these are not my expectations im just wondering, ive heard alot of different views on this set up so im just wondering if anyone had personal expierience. the vlx is probably the cleanest amp of its size made since everything big seems to be .1 to 1% thd nowadays. the vlx is .006

on 2500 watts in a burban you wont even get close to 150. 1 of my customers has 7kw going to 2 12" hcca subs on 2 gp3000's and the first box ( 4 door small cavalier) did 149 then redid the box as a 1/2 wall trunk pass through to hit 155. and thats on 7kw you have 1/3 that and 5 times the space to compress. you will be very loud to the ear but not on the mic. i would venture to guess 145 at best maybe 147. i have done alot of burbs and it takes alot of cone and power to hit 150 in a box instead of a wall.

lol i know it will get loud to lthe ear thats forsure and ill be happy! but i got a third sub in the works and then a forth when i find another motor. i will get the jbl a6000gti or another vlx also and probably wall it!

since when does 7kw=2 gp3000's..from what i understand they put out 3000 not 3500 at 14.4v

You probably believe damping factors too, right? Rated specs like thd and damping factor mean very little, considering diff manufacturers test differently, and in some cases, simply lie or mislead. Its similar to the way diff companies rate speaker efficiency differently. And, even if specs like that were to be believed, do you really believe your ears could hear the difference between .1 thd and .006? You've been duped by marketing propaganda. Sorry.
Lastly, at 150 dbs (or there abouts), any discussion of SQ is simply laughable. Think you'll still be able to distinguish between fractions of a percent of thd with your interior panels rattling together, through speaker distortion, etc? Yes, your priorities and expectations are way off.

well i never really said i was going for sq lol but the difference between an audiopipe ap30001d and a vlx400 would be night and day. high end and bottom end
yeah, you'd see a huge drop in current pull and possibly a gain in output with the ap. huge *** a/b amps ftl IMO.
