Think a HDC310 could take a 2200 at full tilt?

i think after my episode of blowing my 9510 i never want to over power again lol, i'd love to go ahead and order the two subs this week, but i'm about 100 short //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

If you know what you are doing...yes the HDC's will take it.

I have run 3500's on 20.1's at .35ohm daily and had no trouble.

I have also put a pair of 2500's on 2 M1a's strapped at 1ohm daily 6-8months...the 2 2515's are sitting up front on display at the shop now, and they are in great shape.

You just have to watch the subs.

There is a huge difference in running subs and abusing them.

You REALLY need to know what you are doing, not just THINK you know.

what would be the difference to YOU between running and abusing them, how would i REALLY have to know what i'm doing? you mean just electrically? I'm gonna have a pretty beefy electrical system, so i'm not worried about that. Please explain...

Do it, and let me listen to your system when everything is installed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Running the subs/amps without clipping for 3-4 songs in a row would be ok.

Running them non-stop w/ clipping = death.

The clip-lights will help ALOT.

I have seen too many people people (even out of other shops) kill subs due to clipping within 2 weeks.

Keep your voltage up and learn what clipping really sounds like.

Some people THINK they know what clipping sounds like, but what they think is light clipping is dam near a perfect square-wave.

Oh...and BTW, if you do decide to put 2200w on each HDC don't go crying to DJ if you blow it.

DJ rates the sub low for a reason. To avoid the returns by people that THINK they know how to run subs.

AQ subs can take alot of power, but if you plan on taking advantage of the warranty....forget about 2200wrms.

IMO, its just WRONG if you kill that sub and then try and say it was AQ's fault. You know the risks and you decide to take them anyway. If you kill the sub, it is on you...no one else. You will just have to man up and buy the recone.

i run a DD M3 daily at 1ohm on a DD 3510....i have beat it hard for 6 hours straight...more than once //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif....the upper end AQ's may be similar too DD 35 series but still they are not DD's...one thing that is a hugh plus is haveing the clipping indicator up front where you can see it because different songs will change the clipping level on your amp...some songs clip more than others...especially heavy bass tracks.....so setting an amp in the trunk or by an amp with the clipping indicator on the amp doesn't work except for the song or tone your setting it at.... keep this in mind ...if you like to play a system hard daily....and you don't like to blow your subs....
