Thief got in my car last night. Want to secure things for the future. Help

It's a 99 of 100 thing. This is the one rare time I didn't! That doesn't always stop them. Someone may have heard the glass if it was locked and they wanted to try but if they are determined it is hard to stop them.
I would have loved to looked out the window and saw them. I would have stabbed first and let 12 sort it out later.
word. i always make sure i lock my car. when i go inside i will always think whether i did or not. and if i cant remember i ALWAYS go back outside and do it. no matter how late i am or how far away i parked lol.

i think an alarm would be a good idea. and do you ever bump at that place you were at? maybe that attracted them.

Nope. Only thing I can think is the maybe six times I have been down there is opening the trunk up. I do believe it is someone around there though. I plan on putting the other batter in this evening so I am real visible to all the tenants. If I see anyone I am going to ask questions and tell the story. Maybe info will come back my way. God help if I find out. I will be on the news.

obviously this is smbdy who had a system but cudnt afford kinetik battery.

otherwise theyd go for the amp as well.

BTW

it was your gf. she did it all while u were asleep.

i don't think cops are going to finger print your car for a 200 dollar battery.

second i don't think anyone knew about your kinetik. pretty sure they just took a battery when in need. if they wanted more they could have taken the whole car or such. pretty sure they don't even know what a kinetik is. as for them having proper tools. all you need is a pair of pliers depening if you switched out the stock battery terminals the conntect to the post.

lock your car man. i'm sure now you will be more cautious. get an alarm, they help, some.

lol i'm glad i haven't been robbed yet. i would leave my car sitting wide open at night. lol for example last night i had my battery charger hooked to my car overnight. the hood was poped open along with my front windows being rolled down with the car unlocked and the alarm not even armed.

Cars are very simple to get into.To release the hood.12" needle-nose pliers-or-vice grips. One need to be very slender,or have a small hydraulic jack to lift the front and then work the tools. The latch is on a cable anyway. What do you think people do when the cable breaks, and or wears out{repair-shop]In my Altima, and my Sentra before it,there is a little lever in the trunk that disables the lever next to the seat that is the Inside Trunk Release.Only the KEY will open the trunk.{unless the person is locked in the trunk, there still is the emergecy release. If your window was down, they can't get at the amp rack,or box. Also,DO NOT PLAY YOUR SYSTEM...1/4 mile from where ever you leave or park your car.Alas even the trunk may be opened by a tire iron/pry-bar style. If some-one wants your car bad enough.you will loose it.The REPO truck can snatch it very easily...and the guy doesn't even have to get out of the truck to hook it up...all hydraulic

...Good Luck...........................

i do dumb shit like that too, from time to time.
sometimes i come out going to work and both my windows are down. the other day i left the keys in the ignition //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

i'm glad i have down *** neighbors

Charging my stocker and putting it back in but all this has me so pissed it will not happen again and I need ideas. I want to secure my box in the trunk somehow so they will have to spend a ton of time and have the right tools to get it out. Same goes for the battery. I was thinking maybe some way of putting a cable with lock on it? Anyone have ideas for firstly securing the battery so they get irritated and give up even if they gain access to the car and secondly how to secure my box. I want it to where although I made it easy by failing to lock the doors they would have given up on trying to get the pieces out. Suggestions?
This reminds me of my last theft all too much! I had an S-10 and that one was also parked under a flood light but doors locked. They broke out the window and cut wires to amp (secured to wall) and tried to pop out HU (needed slide pieces to get out) and got the only thing I didn't have secured which was a 10" IDQ and box. Maybe $100 new but used a bit. Cost me $150 to have a new window put in which I would have rather of given them the **** sub/box than go through all that.

Think if it would have been locked last night they would have windowed it?
aftermarket alarm with a hoodpin sensor

Very good ones! It takes time to get that battery out. It gets bolted at the edges and across the top so it was right tools and plenty of time. I am shocked that is all they wanted but glad.
Can you think of any possible way to lock the battery with a Master lock? Next thief will have to have a plasma cutter to get any of my shit out.
Aint no master lock thats gunna need a plasma cutter to take care of it.

wanna know something that will REALLY piss you off.....the reason thiefs are going around stealing batterys is because they SCRAP at 5.00 each now adays......so call around the local scrap yards, i think its federal law they have to take info down on the person selling to them.

this has been happening ALOT around here, not to mention catilytic converters!

mine was jacked in front of my house between 3-4 am about 2 months ago.
