Is 18 AWG remote wire ok for 850W?

Hey,

I have my new MRP-M850 arriving any day now and I will be running 0 AWG power/ground for it. But the remote turn on wire that I have is from my old amp kit and it is 18 AWG. Is it ok to use the 18 AWG for my M850? Does the AWG of a remote wire matter or does it just need to send a small signal to turn the amp on/off, would any awg work?

remote wire is remote wire. doesn't change due to amp output power.
18ga should be fine
