Once again, the original bottom piece.....t is the bottom of the box, but is no longer the way that the box is secured to the car. It was originally planned so i could maximize airspace, but lookng at it, its just not pratical.

That is the bottom....it covers the bottom, all the way to the back of the trunk,. to the front of the back seat. This is what you would call, the dance floor. It is clamped down in the front. heavy amount of glue in the front, wood glue that is

63cuttheedgesoitwentinthecar.jpg

Clamped down in the front, left it clamped for a day or so. Tried pulling that piece up from the back side.....its not happenin at all

63cuttheedgesoitwentinthecar.jpg

had to cut the back corners out to get it to fit in the trunk.

66-Frontshotofbottom.jpg

Pic of the bottom....its actually 5 layers Thick, with mounting hardware in each corner

Reason for all taht is because the area where the seats are, is lower than the area where the trunk floor is, and it needed to all be nice an even, or the wall would have a little lean in it, whicl is really bad, and un necessary....Thing has to be solid, or it can move while you are driving....which i can imagine, is truly horrible.

Shots from the inside, of the dance floor, and its supporting boards

68fromthefrontheadrest.jpg

Fromt the front headrest......well where the front headrest is, because it isnt there in that pic.

72-sideison.jpg

First true assembly.....the right side, and the bottom. the bottom is *inside* the side pieces.

^^The basis of my existence [/shameless plug]

74toptestfit.jpg

Test firring of the first top piece of the box. Created runner boards, because there is no other logical way to get the top installed correctly, when i was doing this as a solo project. I actually recommend it for most cases in general, as they make the build process even easier

75BackRunnersandBackison.jpg

Top with runners, and the back is now attached. Back is NOW double baffeled, for added strength.

back has its own runners, because the angles were all F'ed up during the build process. that pic of the top was a test fit, nothin was actually attached, but it all fits quite nicely

76-cornermatchesupnicely.jpg

Pic of the corners matching up nicely in the front..

i had to move this thing around, for the build like no other. I really didnt think it would be necessary to do as much moving it around as i had too. I even sat it on the center console a few times. Trying to turn that thing around isnt very feasible, or easy for that matter.

77-partoftheprocess.jpg

Case in point....I cant move it very far at all.

78Backshots.jpg

Backshots.

now there are 8 Bolts going through the box, acting as Terminals. its working out quite well.
