Im pretty sure that 1/0 can handle the current flow as long as its a short run... Like under 3ft

Yup, but "silver solder" usually has a very low content of silver

there is differing amounts of silver in various grades, correct? If I remember correctly standard is like 4%

I have a 4k2d that I use daily and have had zero problems. Also had 2 different 2k6d's that i ran daily wiith no issues at all. The 2k6d's would get warm but the 4k2d's heatsink actually stays cool to the touch after a 4-5 hr trip playing music pretty hard. DB-r, I would be willing to send you my 4k2d for testing if Jeff doesn't get you one, however i don't want to pay the shipping and I'd like a promise that if damaged during testing you would repair it.

Yeah, I don't think it's enough to really help anything as far as making solder more suitable to conduct electricity.

Anyone who wants to send me a sample I would welcome it. I have someone who could test all the way up to the 7200 watt model to full power, they are local so we could meet up and spend some time testing it and then send it back to it's owner.

And yes, of course if I broke it I would repair it to the best of my ability... LOL, I don't even know what parts are used in the thing at this point, I need one at my shop to look at so I can see what's in there since they wouldn't post the part numbers here (for the mosfets) the rest of the parts I am pretty sure I could get.
