Why would we want to do that? That would kill millions, destroy a whole country, a whole lot of oil, etc. We are after one man, not a country.

Oh but then they changed it and said it was Iraqi soldiers dressed up as farmers....Who is in favor that will pull all our troops out and the rest of the coalations soldiers and other UN forces leaving only the Iraqi's.....Then send in 12 massive B52's Bombers and drop 10,000ton bombs on Iraq...each B52 will hold 2 10,000pound bombs so do the math.....Iraq will be leveled.

I don't know how much damage two 10,000 ton bombs would do, but if we level Iraq we will never be forgiven. We will be thought of as the modern day hitler by many countries across the world. I think our military has made some mistakes that have cost us. I don't think we should allow any Iraqi civilians to get near our military and we should warn them that they will be shot. I can't believe that we are letting people surrender taking their guns and then telling them to go back home. We now find that they are attacking our forces from behind later (and we wonder why 9-11 happened). I hate to say this, but don't you find it strange that the person that threw the grenades in the tent was a man with a Muslim name that was Muslim. The government was quick to shoot down the claim that it had nothing to do with the man being on Sadam's side or part of a terrorist group. I think this is an obvious military cover up by the U.S. military. I actually heard on the radio that this guy made some statement to his superior officers saying something like you will pay for coming into our country and killing and raping our women and children. I don't understand why this sort of talk was ignored. I heard someone at the YMCA today say that unemployment and the economy will improve when republicans are out of office. THis is in California. Obviously they forgot what Davis has done for California. We had a huge surplus and he used it to pay-off Enron which was a huge campaign contributor for him. Now we are in huge debt and the school system is suffering and he wants to raise taxes. I'm broke enough from all the taxes and now it sounds like car registration is going to double and a new smog inspection system that really isn't needed with today's cars is being implimented which will cost around $70.00 per smog. California's budget was okay prior to him and now it's horrible. Bush received a horrible economy going in and now seems to be blamed for it. The President in reality has very little to do with the economy. Clinton got lucky that he was in office during the huge technology boom. What is really needed is a boom in either an existing industry or a new industry needs to be created NOT BY THE PRESIDENT BUT BY THE PEOPLE. One thing I must say honestly about Bush is that I'm not sure about his tax cut and budget plan, it does seem a little unrealistic.

Well we did the same thing in hiroshema....and nagasaki....so now its not ok to do it....I believe we cannot tell who the civilians are....because we (our marines) walk into a town full of what looks like farmers and women and guess what as soon as they turn there backs the so called farmers open fire and take out a whole infantry of our Marines....What about in Veitnam....when women were part of the Veit-Kong....should they be treated different? If they shoot upon our troops will they not get fired upon in return? I hate the fact that the little kids have nothing to do with it all, but remember we started by bombing Bagdhad so no kids were killed there? They are by standers...we cant do anything about that.....if Saddam would be more of a leader instead of a warrior then the world could be more at peace.....Join The Freakin UN...That would be one less country/force that we would have to worry about....then it would leave China and Russia....thats a positive start. I dont believe in just going in there and dropping 20 10,000ton bombs Im saying drop 1 or 2 so they see the power we have not showed them yet, but fly about 12 planes so they know we have so much more to come with....kinda like a taste tester...

the bombs dropped on hiroshima and nagasaki UNDOUBTEDLY saved 100s of thousands of our soldiers lives....if we invaded instead of dropping them, then we possible could have lost close to 1 million soldiers. in iraq.....i mean there is not chance that the casualties will be so high, not even close.

when the bombs were droped on Hiroshima, that was over 50 trs ago and times and peoples thoughts have changed. i dont remember exactlly why it was dropped but we are in Iraq not to destroy the country but to get ride of Saddam and his reguim. they terrorize thier own people,he has wipped out 5000 of his own people with musturard gas what we are trying to do is give them a better life and to stop the chance of Saddam selling chemical and bio weapons to terrorist. Saddam is just one peice of a puzzle we are trying to get ride of to stop the terrorizum that has been hurting the world as of lately

this is not a new or recent decision to do this to Saddam, some 19 congressmen back when Clinton was in office drew up a resoltion to do just whats going on right now and i believe 9 of them are still or is in the Bush cabinet. so all these protest that say this is one mans agenda are wrong this is not jjust Bush or something that has just started,it is just now coming into place.

Saddam is not a leader he is a dictator.a leader takes care of his people a dictator rules his people and cares about nothing but what is good for him and his own

WWII and this 'war' are completely different...

First off, they bombed our troops that were in Pearl Harbor (although that is still in speculation as to who did it, but we're pretty sure it was the Japanese). Also, we weren't fully aware of the reprocussions and effects that those bombs would have after they were dropped. Japan is still suffering from those bombs. Thirdly, the nukes we have now are much more developed than they were then...we can do a whole lot more damage with one than we could have during WWII....

Plus, what would we gain out of nuking the whole country? We have nothing against the people of Iraq, it's just Saddam and his regime...

Plus, why would we want to destroy all of that oil? That would be pointless.

Actually there was a 4th reason for nuking Hiroshima, the Japanese had a large weapons facility in this area so we decided that we would go ahead and destroy it for good with massive force hoping this would destroy their hope in fighting. WWII was actually a very dangerous situation. Hitler was actually within days of being able to send a nuke on a plane to go above our radars and drop nukes right over America. Luckily we got him out of power before he could take this action.

I understand the whole nuke part, but im saying just explosives nothing nuclear or chemical....

So while Iraqi soldiers continue to dress up as women and farmers and we go to a town to save them then they open fire once close enough we will just loose that many soldiers each time....You guys dont understand Im not saying just kill everybody and be done with it, but I am saying How can you determine who is good and who is bad when they are using trickery to destroy our forces......

the ones open fireing on us would be doing so no matter what they were wearing. they are the same people some just change clothes others dont ahve unifourms. they cant really determain that till the bullets stop flying all together

Thanks for that....because you helped me prove the point....so if they look like women and children, but fire upon our soldiers....are we not going to fire back? Either way women and children will die...and thats sad, but its a hard decision....would you shoot down a plane with 15 people on it carrying a H-bomb headed towards the pentagon? Yes you would sacrifice 15 people to save thousands.

Josh again thanks for your info....We have reason to believe Saddam has an underground nuc plant....why not do the same as in japane and get rid of it....with that discouraging Saddam and hopefully ending all possible war between the US and Iraqi soldiers and people.

There was a guy that was the former head of nuclear development on television talking about how Sadam put billions into creating an underground nuclear facility. He actually wrote a whole book on sadam. I don't remember his name though. Obviously he doesn't live in Iraq anymore, or he would be dead. Honestly I don't know if the U.S. will ever use one of their nuclear weapons again. Someone will have to either hit america with one of theirs, or attempt to. We will never initiate the use of them, probably because we don't want the use of them to become widespread and we feel that if we use them countries will take it as saying that they can be used in war. I don't think Bush will win the next election, and this worries me. I hope he drops a missle on North Korea's nuclear facility, they continue to make public threats that the U.S. is forcing them into using nuclear weapons on Americas east coast. If he doesn't get to this by the end of his term I can Guarantee that the Democrats will do nothing about north korea. In fact the Democrats will allow them to have these weapons. This would cause north korea to be one of the major world powers, which is dangerous. THey are already threatening us and we have done nothing to them and they only have a few nukes if any right now. Can you imagine what will happen when they have a large storage. Democrats have a different ideology on war. They like to avoid it. So rather than dealing with north korea when it is a small problem they will wait until north korea is equal to us in power. At that point North korea will team up with China and either a war where everyone dies will break out, or we will give up and speak a korean or chinese language. THe Democratic ideology isn't necessarily wrong, the world could still exist with it, but america probably will not in the end. I don't mean to rip on anyone, because I'm an American too, but I don't see the U.S. existing as a nation much longer. We wait until a situation gets too big and then try to resolve it. I say the U.S. will make it a maximum of 150-200 more years that's it. No one is to say that another nation somewhere else will be created that is like the U.S., but if communist dictatorships take over I doubt with the military technology that now exist, no revolution is be practical or possible. Remember in a perfect world communism could work, unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world.

I agree with joshpoints, as much as I hate war I feel the UN should declare a war on North Korea. Personally I feel that they should be doing something about them right now instead of Iraq, then again Im not the one in power and I don't know everything they know about Iraq. However IMO North Korea is a much bigger threat then Iraq and they should be the ones USA is at war with. Im sure they wouldn't have a problem getting UN backing on that one!
