they were hasty to use it... can you say that more lives were lost unecessarily by using it than by not using it? I can....
That depends on your ideology. If you are willing to have thousands more americans die to save the lives of the enemy, then it was unecessary. Remember that we have normal bombs that have way more power than the nuke used. Others believe that we should minimize the number of americans killed while attempting to destroy a weapons facility and killing thousands of Japanese. It's kind of interesting I just thought of something. This thought is necessarily true but it's an interesting analysis. We could have not used the nuke, and let's say 5 americans would have died and 5 Japanese would have died. Using the nuke made 0 americans die and 10 Japanese die instead. The numbers are just an example, ofcourse they are real. Whenever we minimize our loss of life we increase the enemy's loss of life. There is no way to minimize your loss of life in war without increasing the enemy's loss of life. Example. Shooting any people that are not U.S. military officers that are on approach. If this is done it minimizes american death. AT the same time the # of civilians and enemies killed increases. Using missles increases the number of deaths for the other side while decreases the number of american's death. Actually I think I believe this theory now. I'm not trying to oppose you in everything wonderbread, I just feel that war is war, in truth there are no real rules, though civilized nations like the U.S. try to make them. The person that wins gets to make the rules. If some commits war crimes that lead them to win a war, it doesn't matter they won the war. Look at how america got its independence.

OH!!! by the way where is the war thread? What is it listed under and what is the title?

right...the "minute men" broke the rules of war by hiding behind rocks while the "lobsterbacks" walked in formation down a cobblestone path.

but i agree. in war...there are no rules. however, as a human...i still believe that you should treat POWs with dignity. i guess iraqis have a completely different mind set.

Thanks for the info on the war thread.

Don't buy any French Russian or German speakers.

I agree with you Fantomas. I don't think the POW's should be tortured or killed. In some ways our sensitivity for human life hurts us americans. I'm not saying that we shouldn't consider life precious, I'm saying that it does help our opposition. Take for example allowing people to surrender and telling them to go home and then they come back and attack. THe way that we treat POW's and the enemy shows everyone who the good guys are and who the bad guys are.

Do any of you know if Icon is going to put out anymore albums. I like their beats and their style of flow. Play get crunked up in your car. The bass line is pretty nice. What has happened to Jay-Z though. His latest song sucks!!! If he plans on putting that kind of music out on his albums, I surely won't be listening to him. Bonnie and Clyde was cool, but that's about it. Busta rhymes album with what it is right now and the other songs was okay, but I thought Anarchy was really good. It had some good songs. There is a song with DMX and Jay-z it might be called Why we die. That song has nice bass too.

The bay area, or California doesn't have any rappers. We had E-40 Ice Cube RBL too short and the works. If you know any tight recent bay area (California) rappers that are underground let me know.
