Did any of you here about the v14 that cadillac put into one of their concept cars? It made over 1,000 horse power. They said that it will never make it into production. Here what I don't understand. Why do they make these concept cars if they never plan on selling them. It just makes me mad.

concept cars are just show cars thats pretty much it. to get some one to come out to the car shows to see new models

Yea, but concept cars have slipped onto the street before....I dont think you ever heard about this incident, but buick came out with a concept car that was getting about 50mpg with a 3.8 v6.....some how a guy had it and took it in for service and they didnt know what to say....needless to say they told him to pick any car off the lot in trade for his buick.

Speaking of buick have you guys seen the buick wildcat?

That's because if a lot of people found out that they could make cars this efficient they would protest. The cars would eventually have to be released to the public and oil companies would have a much lower demand for oil.

No the one I saw on television was actually a v14, but there may be a V16.

the one caddillac just unveiled a few months back in detroit at the car show, where they transformed the conference ceter into this like high calss place, it was called the Sixteen.. V16, 1000+ horsies...

thats alot of **** power and I really dont see the need for it on the street....or the highway since they have the speed limit set to 70mph in most places.....Like when dodge came out with that 4x4 truck with the **** viper engine in it with a 6 speed tanny...the need is what? It looks and sounds cool....thats about it.....to be honest you can take just about any car and soup the engine up and make it bad a$$......example my 89' mercury cougar has a 3.8 v6 and it has a few mods and now it sounds like a 302 with a carb....

The mods were very simple at that.....bored .60 over to start....bigger pistons, racing cam shaft, aluminum rocker arms and lifters, chrome headers cool air intake and thats about it....now I no longer live in the states so I havnt done anything else to it...

i made my accord sound fast by only installing a short ram intake. (i think it made my car slower). but yea...i took it out because it attracted the wrong kind of attention (police) and the noise...although sounded deep and throaty.. got a little annoying after a while. now its back to stock. yay

lol this guy rode by on main street the other day on a cushman-cycle that had a straight pipe on it. OMG it was as loud as the harly next to it lol. i wanna put a straight pip on my 2 cyl 3 wheeled cushman. that would be funny.

Sounds like they are gonna be making a vehicle to break the sound barrier....street legal...lots of power, but what to do with it? race in the street wars in the desert?
