I think the "bingo" was referring to my half-assed attempt at giving advice...

A little moer advice to your MR. Business starter...you have to be prepared to cut prices and what not to beat your surronding competitiors. That alone is somthing hard....you have to have sales and what not sometimes, but like brock said it pays off.

ok.. new topic, i've started lifting again and my goal is to bench 300, and squat 315. I think that the squat is very reasonable, because i can do 185 for reps of 10 ez.. but the bench is going to be hard. as of now i haven't maxed out, but last summer before i hurt my back i was doing 175x6 (kinda lame, but it was my heaviest before i hurt myself). Right now i'm doing 135x10 for 3 sets (yeah, i know it's lame too)

I'm just throwing this out there because it is what i do during the summer. During the winter i play hockey, and during the summer i lift. I'm just wondering if many other people lift, and what you're doing. Oh, and i started benching @ 95, and squatting @ 135.. I'm not ashamed, you gotta start somewhere!

im doing landscaping this summer for a guy i work with...he has a house right on the lake...ive been moving rocks and firewood. pretty sweet getting paid $10/h for a workout. and its more of a crosstraining...

I would have kept lifting through hockey season, but when i messed my back up i could barely walk... so i just gave it up so i didn't hurt myself again during hockey season (i did anyways, ****ed dislocated shoulders).. Now getting back into it is emarrasing, i can't lift shit compared to the people i was lifting w/ before, it sucks.

oh, and a guy @ my gym is going for a 700lb bench next monday, kindof impressive if you ask me.. the guy benched 650 for a pause in a meet, state record.

well its been years since i actually maxed out.....i jus started working out again to try to get back in shape...for now im jus riding an excercise bike untill i get my weight down to what im wanting then im planning on working out to get my body tone....but back in my day i was lifting around 280 on average...maxed out around 300 or a bit below.....jus gotta set a routine....start w/ a low weight and work your way up ....i worked out 5x a week...but i was in school at the time...im only able to go about a day or 2 a week right now w/ my current work schedule and all......

I use to lift when I was in highschool for football season, but I stopped for a year, in football I was doing 250lb sets of 6reps 10 sets....now Im doing 180lb lol nothing major, but like you guys have said you gotta start back somewhere....

I weight trained before my sophomore year for a month or two for football. My coach was saying it was optional but recommend, which basically means it's required. My parents said I should go because they didn't want me to get hurt out there on the field with no bulk on me (at the time I weighed about 145 lbs). I really hated weight training. I really hated my coach. I only was playing football to get my *** out there and do something, and I liked a lot of the guys on the team.

After that month or two of lifting I went to a 4 day camp which was hell on earth. It took place at a military training camp in a town called Manzanita, Oregon. It was on the beach. That camp was horrible. We'd be lucky to get a good 5 or 6 hours of sleep, then we'd wake up to the coach beating a trashcan and warming us up with a long run, the longest of which being 6 miles in a figure 8. Another notable one was a set of spaced out staircases, 12 cases in all, about 50 yards long each, and about 50 yards apart. We did that twice in a row on the last day, stopping at the last one, then turning right around to go back. I think that camp may be the closest thing to boot camp or military training that I will ever experience.
