hey guys, and girls;

so a buddy of mine has some big plans for a system. I reall wanna know what everyone thinks about the setup in general. Obviously i'm open to suggestions (provided they are useful) or else i wouldn't be here asking for him.

so here u are:

car is a 2000 oldsmobile alero

Subs- (2) Rockford Fosgate T112D2

Amps- (1) JBL GTO1201.1 class D amp

(1) Rockford Fosgate P8004

Or

(1) Rockford Fosgate P3002

(1) Rockford Fosgate P5002

Speakers (1 pair) Infinity KAPPA693.7I 6x9 speakers for rear

(1 pair) Infinity KAPPA Perfect 6.1 6.5inch component speakers for front

Wiring kit: (1) Stinger SWKH0 amp kit-

Cap: STINGER 3 FARAD DIGITAL CAP SSCAP3M

Deck: JVC KD-SHX750

CD changer: JVC CH-X1500

Stinger 17 ft audio interconnects (dream series, 2 RCA, 3 sets)

to be honest, i thought a 3 farad cap sounds like a bit much, but I'm not entirely sure. Also, I haven't really had time to actually research some of the compnents yet either, so point out anything u find out of place.

I appreciate the help guys. He is looking for a custom daily driver, but likes to go a bit overboard too.

Well some decent stuff there with the infinity kappas and wiring. Personally I am not a rockford fan at all so no comment there. Also I will be the first of I am sure many that will say you dont even need a cap. Unless you are like me and have it for eye candy. Do the big 3 and save some money on that cap. Good luck!

Oh yea why the JVC Deck? Does he have that yet? If no then would get something else. Maybe an apline or pioneer has some nice 4volt decks that are cheap.

hey,

for some reason he is set on the JVC... But I am in the process of having him check out some other decks too.

As far as the cap goes, I told him the same thing, go the big 3 and the second opinion will help get him converted.

I'm a big fan of Infinity so I think his choices there are pretty solid. As far as rockford goes, I'm not a huge fan either, but they can be set up quite nicely.

Come on guys, I know theres more of you with some opinions or suggestions

honestly, 2 t1 rockfords are going to POUND. my friend has a t1 power in his civic and it shakes your face off...its quite loud. nice choices with the infinities, especially the perfects. go with a pioneer deck...pioneers 0wnz its price range.

They may pound, but the SQ is lacking.

Don't know if that's important to you or not.

Thanks for the inputs, sorry i haven't replied. I had a midterm and was doin the study thing for a couple days.

anyway, so what is the main reason you guys suggest a different deck? What are you opinions on the CDA-9851?

Jack Frost: What are some other reputable subs around the same price range that you would suggest looking at. I think he might be stuck on the t1's but again, with a good argument I can steer him in the right direction.
