The Saturn: Can't stop there. (Dual 18's upgrade)

why did u cut the headliner? you must have had fun pulling off those door skins, i know i did on a customers car. prob my most hated doorglass to do.

This build should be very promising once everything is said and done. Any particular goals that you're shooting for??

Good to see someone actually posting pics and working on their builds in this section lol.

Thanks everyone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The door skins come off very easily...takes about 20 seconds maybe (lol)

And the Goal here is just basically a groundpounder/fun car...it'll be tuned low still but I'll be competing with it regularly and still keeping it as a daily driver.

Probably will get some done tonight, the next board should get mounted onto the base and the actual enclosure build can begin. I'll actually have to have the rear window removed for this build during the port build and rear deck prep...and then have it reinstalled.

I also fear what's going to be going on with my sunroof //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif...it's already getting pushed out of the seal with the single 18...

And hopefully I'll be ready in time for the 16th's competition too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif...but that might be pushing it (if it is there it'll be just finished in time to compete...but i'd think I'd still have finishing things to do and the headliner will most likely not be back on etc.)

nice, glad to see this is making some progress //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

You are a nut my friend, and I //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/respekt.gif.b162d148236010609fe523122efe3729.gif you for that, takes a crazy man to strip a car down like you have to complete a goal he sets for himself.

Love this thread, cant wait to see the 18s in action, they are some beast //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Thanks guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I can't wait to get this done...and also, there will be 4 pairs of components (Pioneer Rev-series) in this aswell //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

You might have to remove your sunroof, I'm sure someone can weld in a plate and paint it to match.

Cant wait for further progress //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

there goes the resale value of ur whip
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I would NEVER sell this car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif...even if I did with it completely turned back to stock I might get like 2500 out of it anyway...so might as well ball-hard //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Yea, im more worried about daily driving for the sunroof...cuz at comps I can have someone hold it or I could climb up and sit on it during burps...but daily its completely at the mercy of the submoofers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

^Yea, surprisingly enough I have no leaking issues with my sunroof right now...only one other spot on my roof will leak a little when its pouring outside and my car's just sitting, but if im moving it wont have a chance to sit on it and get through (its garaged nightly, so i dont really have to worry too much)

Lol I suppose the sound radiates out and keeps the rain from coming in haha

Thanks, and I compete in DB Drag...Super Street 1-2. And It'll be oem equivelant going back in, atleast the front of the car (infront of the b-pillar) will be factory/oem equivelant...the back half might have to be custom due to the handles and 3rd brake light being gone.
