The Saturn: Can't stop there. (Dual 18's upgrade)

very nice. i am very glad to see somebody on the forum with an spl based system that is actually deadening with good material //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
and wow 5 gallons of spectrum sludge:eek:i bet that was fun. im looking forward to doing 2 gallons of spectrum underneath my car in about a month:)
Yea, the 5 gallons was fun, it was pretty darn good stuff too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Looks good, cant wait to see the finished product
How hard was it to get the door skin off and do most cars pull off? My car door is a tad rusty on the lower rear door and I didnt know they came off like that.
Mine's a saturn, so it'll be easier than yours //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ....but it just had like 6 bolts with torx heads to get it off, pretty simple

Had the beast out a while ago and snapped a few..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Straight Pimping. Very nice build man. That Saturn is going to get annihilated
Thanks and yea, haha...the sunroof is going to get EFFED //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

As for you belt issue it looks like you may be using em but look at goodyear gatorbacks
Yea, I need a 5-rib, 79.8 inch long belt...and ive looked around and it seems nobody carries anything within 2 inches of that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif...I may have to ghetto-rig 6-rib belts by cutting off a rib but thats just so janky //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Nice job so far man. Are those Omegas gonna be able to handle that SS?
I know it does like 7k+ @ 14 volts
My 18" BTL is taking it daily on 1 ohm like a champ...as long as I didnt go full-bore for excessive time periods it was perfectly fine....so I'd hope the pair of these can handle it, lol

Im off for a while though...more progress as it happens //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

anybody know the benefits of the design on the Omegas as far as the surround being like 1.5" tall??

I didnt go for the full wall because, honestly, it doesnt appeal to me...this is still my daily driver and a wall is just not in the cards imo (for my car atleast...I'd love a wall in other types of vehicles)...and the subs will stay fairly hidden from passer-by's since they'll be behind my seats and below the window line.

As for the Omega's surround etc...I'd ask Alex (terra) any questions...im sure he'd know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

very nice, finally a build thread that gets ish' done!
Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

holy **** man, i thought a single 18 was pushing it in a Saturn but you've taken it to another level,

this project gives me hope for my Saturn.

Looking solid so far and like everyone else i can't wait to see this thing finished.
