It's about time for an upgrade...dontcha think? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

This upgrade will consist of losing the 18" BTL and a pair of 18" Omega's will go in the backseat area, firing forward behind each seat with the port firing up in the rear deck (trying the keep everything at the window line and within the factory dimensions of the rear deck). Still running off of the SoundStream XXX10000 (1 ohm), I may be getting another down the road plus some more D3100's (but that'd be a while...nearly 2 grand for that upgrade //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif).

For the enclosure im looking to get a good 5.5 cubes net per sub and a 210 sq inch port tuned to 31Hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Here's a sketch of what it should be like:

My first 18" Omega is already here...going to order the second once I have the money, shortly down the road:

Some deadening was done to the back-half of the car (almost 2 rolls of raamat were used here):

Stripping away the headliner..

The strip of factory deadener...lmao, wow..(I didnt take off the front half of the headliner so I could still compete with the trunk setup while I was waiting)

how much deadener are you using on this build? looks to be over 4 rolls.

also should be a little loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Right now it sits at one bulk pack of dynamat xtreme, 2 rolls of raamat, and 5 gallons of spectrum sludge...planning on plenty more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

very nice. i am very glad to see somebody on the forum with an spl based system that is actually deadening with good material //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and wow 5 gallons of spectrum sludge:eek:i bet that was fun. im looking forward to doing 2 gallons of spectrum underneath my car in about a month:)

Looks good, cant wait to see the finished product

How hard was it to get the door skin off and do most cars pull off? My car door is a tad rusty on the lower rear door and I didnt know they came off like that.

Didnt get a pic of the excess all-thread cut off those mounting points //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif...but got that done..

And today I went to Jon's house (he made my bracket for the alt in the AC position //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ) today to get an idler pulley put near the front alternator for better wrap. Ive shredded 2 serpentine belts now from big draws at low rpms...this should help once I find a belt for it..

The satty at Jon's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Idler in...but to get home I just bypassed it because I dont have a belt to fit around everything yet..

^The belt will go underneath the idler and back up to the alternator's pulley for better belt wrap..
