Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif (the enclosure was a prefab //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif)

And I went through a gallon of resin and about 3/4 gallon of body filler along with one pack of fiberglass mat on the sides and bottom, only one layer but may add another layer of resin on some areas before the top goes on tonight.

cool cool. i was told the mat's werent necessary... just the resin and hardener then sand it smooth when its dry
The mat is needed if you want to add strength, but if the enclosure is plenty strong yea, just resin should do...that's why most of the matting was done on the corner pieces that are just single-layered

Yea you can sand it but I like to do just a little sanding to any high points then more resin to help level it off or even mix a little body filler into the resin to make a milkshake type deal thats a bit easier to 'paint' onto the enclosure and sand

good to know...well i should be doing this in my box.. hopefully it comes out nice, clean and smooth.... ordered some dynamat extreme today too for my back hatch.. flexes like a B**** if you remember from up in miamisburg. think i had at least 9 people holding my car together.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif:laugh://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif but yea.. hopefully that helps with the flex adds at least .5 db

Nice, might want to triple-up the back area

this setup MIGHT make your mirror vibrate just a little bit.
Haha, my rear-view has been taken off for like 2 months now...my old setup alone made it completely useless if music was being played, lol...I think it'll be staying off with this setup as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ive done the milkshake before
also you can mix acetone + filler to get the same effect, but it wont be nearly as strong.
I dont know why I never thought of that before, but thats a good idea when you need an easy to sand milkshake.

um it not like im i car certafide o ya i am but the resin you can add resin to filler is becase it partly made up of resin be carful not to ad to much or it will make it brittle and if your doing it to make it go on smother there is a product called glaze it sands twice as fast and as fot the asatone it will act like a thiner and desolve the filler and might not harden i would stay away frome stuff like that for a medium sand you can mix glaze and filler toghther and its not called bondo thats just a brand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif not trying to be a a$$ but hate to see somthing go rong

Yeah Ive made milkshakes before with resin and filler.

So I got the glaze part, and thinner will dissolve the filler, gotcha.
