The right Bats 4 my setup!!!

I spoke to ray over a bat caps today and he just threw another wrench in the scenario. Every dealer or owner I speak to say their product is the best, by far:confused:. Wheres the integrity, and actual tested specs/ratings of these bats @ 12.5-14.4 volts? This is a crock of ****. Most competitors and those pushing major watts will agree that pound for pound PowerMaster has the best battery, but I speak to Ray a Batcap and he said " the Batcap 3000 will out perform any bat on the market today", but if he had his choice between kinetic or powermaster, powermaster would be his choice, what ever the hell that means. He says that his bats charge and release much faster than conventional batteries, and were specifically designed for car audio. Has anyone here ever used a batcap? Plesase comment on the relevance of Mr. Ray comments, thanks. The good news is I've gotten sponsorship offers from a couple major bat distributers, which = good deal:D I just would like to go with the most powerful longest amp hours for my shitty electrical. Thanks to all you guys for educating an otherwise ignorant Noob!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

From what I have seen in competition NSB 90 and odyssey/stinger 2150 still get used more and is preferred in 1-2 battery street classes in DB Drag...that is after tests against Batcap and PM ,not sure about the 3000 but a bunch of people were going to use them at finals and from results I didn't see any of the top guys use Batcap or Powermaster. In street A (smaller battery 650 cubic inches) odyssey 1750 is the king of the hill with the NSB 650 cubic inch battery being in the mix.

Also if you are wanting to use what people use in street class competition you should also know that the way they load down their amps and the limit on the batteries that it is not a very good way to run a system daily. Its very hard on a battery especially if you play the system for more than a few seconds without rewiring and/or taking amplifiers out.

In Street max people use multi cell batteries that can more than double the cost of what you can get a 3800 for. They are batteries like the CS9000, Matrix battery and the Batcap 8400. Out of those the only one I know that anyone has talked about using it daily is the CS9000. The batcap 8400 goes for $1000+

Biggest factor in your system is going to be your build. If you do a good build you will be upper tier regardless of which battery/batteries you will use. There is a lot more to a good battery than what it can do for 4 seconds, especially if you plan on using it for daily. Go to small or too few batteries for your situation, even though they do great for 4 seconds, you can deplete the lead in the plates of the battery causing it to fail over time.

Thank you for the info, very helpful Bro. One last question. I'm wanting to use the bats strickly for daily use. I can get a good deal on the 3800's and the batcaps. If you had the opportunity of purchasing either what would it be? The 3800's for or the batcap 2000's. Would it be a better idea to purchase both. 2 3800's and 2 batcap 2000's run in parallel, wire 2 bats per amp? Was thinking of using the batcaps for it's supposed it discharge speed and the 3800's for it's reserve capability? Your thoughts, sir?

In a daily set up i lean towards capacity, some people will say burst power is more important but loaded down the way the batteries would be for proper daily use you would need a spl meter to tell "which is louder" because they would be that close. The 3800 is also an agm cell so even though it is bigger it is not a slow recharging battery in its own right. Thing is over all the strain would be spread out over more lead and it would have a higher reserve. Mixxing the two could work the thing is if the batcaps were low the bigger battery would still have a charge and if you tried to charge them up they wouldnt stay balanced as far as charge level goes. Its really up to you, the kinetik 3800's are rated for 3800 watts each and that is a conservitive rating.

Thanks again audiolife, you've helped me decide. I'm going to go with the 2 3800's and hope those keep the voltage up, if not guess I'll just have to purchase another:laugh:
