I'm running 2 T20001BD's and a 8004. I would like to run the least bats possible. I have a stock charging system, but planning to upgrade the BIG3, well BIG 2 in my case. Stock Alt is 160 amps max and 110-120 @ idle (500rpm's). So, my question is what Bats to run? I have no prior experience with drycell bats, and as you can see all I have is inflated company stats. Please Help, looking for opinnions of those who have experience running drycell bats, thanks in advance!!!

2 D3100's 3200 Amps Max, 71lbs, 117Ah

2 HC 2400's 2600 Amps Max, 69 lbs, 126Ah

2 HC 3800's Ratings not yet listed, but weighs 82lbs.

I agree stick with powermasters, 2 D3100's will be plenty, I bet you could get away with just using 1 D3100 and a nice Yellowtop up front or in the rear wherever your main battery is:) . Just make sure you have all solid connections and grounds. Do the big 3 and HO alt of course, and you should be safe with 1 D3100.

First off, both of the batteries you talked about are NOT dry cells. They are lead acid batteries. Dry cells would be alkaline, NiCd, or something like that. Only cars using dry cells are hybrids.

Secondly, the max amps spec is useless. Don't even think of it as meaning anything but marketing hype. That amperage value is at ZERO volts. That's right, ZERO VOLTS. How many of you have amps that run at 0.0v? I will answer for you. None. The more important question should be how many amps does it make at 12.5v?

Now since you are running about 4800W RMS, you will need two group 31 sized batteries for the rear and a starting battery as well. Simply replace your starting battery with the same sized AGM in the product line you buy. The bigger the better.

I have used Kinetik in my car and have seen plenty of people use them without ANY issues. That said, I have also heard from many people that they love their Powermasters too. I don't think you could go wrong either way. I just tend to stick with Kinetik since they have never let me down and their CS is pretty damn good too.
