Audio is like cutting out?

Ok so I tuned my amp and DID NOT turn my gain all the way up. Actually its barley up at all because my head unit goes to 100 and i tuned it at 75 and at 75 volume with gain on zero it was already pretty loud.

Anyways sometimes like at random times my audio will like cut out like as if it is skipping. (playing directly from an ipod)

Custom Autosound Head Unit

1040 Profile Amp (80w x 4 channel rms)

pionner rear speakers (80w rms)

boston front speakers

this didnt happen on my last amp maybe my speaker connections are not secure enough or maybe i need to retune my amp? Maybe this new amp i have (1000 watts) versus my old 400watts amp is too much on my electrical system?

any ideas guys???????

grounds?? what are your equipment and electrical specs?

Might be your grounds. Also check all your connections they might not be solid. I had a problem sort of like that, my right speakers would cut out whenever I braked. Turned out my rca's were loose.
